Based on the programs established by the Royal Conservatory of Music, the curriculum at
Discover Music is carefully structured in order to maximize the learning experience of our students. Our programs are suitable for children from newborns through twelve years old.

Studies have shown that early exposure to, and participation in, musical activities help children to develop skills and abilities in:

	mathematics
	reading readiness
	communication
	memorization

Our courses are carefully structured to consider the developmental level and needs of our students. We recognize that each group of students is unique and that even children of similar age will have different learning strengths. By interaction with the music, and each other, children of all ages, skills and even special needs, do well in our programs.

The music that makes up our curriculum is carefully chosen for both the quality of the music itself and its underlying structure. Music is selected that lends itself well to the necessary logical and sequential progression to ensure success for the children. New ideas and concepts are introduced to the students in a sequence and manner that doesn’t confuse them. Children are eager to progress and learn.

Our repertoire includes beautiful, established music pieces that have stood the test of time. Folk music from different countries demonstrates their unique history and language. All enrich the learning experience for the children.
